They cannot be compared directly, so the battery score puts every mouse on one basis, desk hours per charge. It uses a review's real-use measurement where one exists (MX Master 4 about 354 h, MX Master 3S about 280 h, Viper V4 Pro about 185 h, DEX about 100–105 h, M7 (1K) about 57 h), otherwise the maker's hour claim at 1000 Hz or on Bluetooth, whichever connection lasts longer (so the Basilisk counts its 210 h Bluetooth claim; its one test did not say which connection it used), and for untested day or month claims four desk hours per claimed day, the lower of the two Logitech measurements. The four gaming mice with both a claim and a test ran at 98% of their claims on average, so untested claims are taken as given. The score is 50 + 25 × log2(hours ÷ 100), up to 100: about a week of desk use per charge scores 25, a fortnight 50, a month 75, two months or more 100. Recency is a formula, not an opinion: max(0, round(100 × (1 − age_days / 2,191.5))), on a 3-year refresh cycle for mice, so a mouse one cycle old scores 50. Since GEN-1.2 (27 September 2026) battery is also a formula, set out above, replacing the model's battery judgement; nothing else changed. Fifteen search-backed entry assessments were followed by one calibration across all sixteen, using claude-opus-5-5; the Signature M650's entry call failed twice, so the calibration assessed it fresh. PC Gamer's M7 8K review specification box lists "Battery life: Up to 70 hours (800 mAh)", while Keychron's own pages give the M7 a 600 mAh battery ([135]). The mismatch supports, but does not prove, that the review's 70 h at 1000 Hz is the 1K model's figure; the conflict is left visible.

The M650's entry call failed twice (the scorer returned a list), so the calibration assessed it fresh. The calibration changed 16 components across 11 mice and set the M650's six; its reasons are retained. It discarded outside evidence that its own rationales cited but the pack did not contain. A first calibration attempt timed out at Pareto's gateway (HTTP 524) and saved nothing.

It carries the same Keychron runtime table as the M3 Mini 8K (66) and the same 120 h claim at 1000 Hz as the M6 8K (66), and the calibration's own diagnosis names uneven treatment of that claim. The 70 h figure quoted for it is most likely a 1K carry-over ([143]), so a two-point gap for weaker corroboration, as the predecessor ruled ([142]), not eight. The M7 8K's position is unchanged by the correction.
