Blue Signature leads the six complete assessments; places 2 to 4 differ mainly by release age, and Vital 200S is the lower-cost smaller-bedroom pick. Room estimates assume 4.8 air changes/hour and a 2.5 m ceiling; quiet tests are not Sleep-mode guarantees, and rows marked RTINGS use a looser 6 ft sound test than the 3 ft behind the rest; owner country is unverified for all six. [29, 33, 67, 75, 77, 81, 87, 88]
Quiet-test areas use 4.8 air changes/hour and a 2.5 m ceiling; offers are dated 15 Sep–2 Oct 2026, quiet settings are not necessarily Sleep mode, and owner country is unverified for all six. [29, 33, 67, 94]

Blue Signature leads the six complete assessments. HouseFresh estimated useful particle delivery at a comfortable reviewed setting; matching Large/SP4i unit codes and main-filter part 113426 support a documentary comparison with the Malaysian offer, while motor tuning and media performance remain unmeasured here. Its powered ionisation cannot be disabled; the reviewer reports an AHAM-certified 3 ppb of ozone, below the 5 ppb threshold for counting as zero ozone, but no certificate was checked here. [32, 70] Of three Malaysian listings checked on 2 October, none had stock: Visionary (RM2,299) was sold out, ESH2U (RM2,345) was unavailable and TBM (RM2,068) takes pre-orders for end-November delivery. Inventory affects buying visibility only, and the scored price remains the RM2,299 offer. Vital 200S is the practical lower-cost option for a smaller bedroom. Xiaomi offers stronger reviewed output than the smaller-room picks, but the original reviewer found a low-speed motor whine intrusive for sleep. The powered ioniser defaults on and can be disabled through the app; the reviewer notes it generates small amounts of ozone but gives no measurement. [15, 16, 70] Its corrected age uses an older documented ordinary offer rather than the Malaysian announcement, reducing the recency component without changing the hardware evidence; using the earlier 9 September 2021 China-sale report instead would lower recency from 18 to 16 and the total from 69.3 to 69.1, with no change of order. [56, 58, 78, 84] Provisional guide assessment: 69.3/100, derived from two model opinions under the same rubric. [78, 74]

Vital Pet Pro is a smaller-room pet option. RTINGS measured 239 m³/h at maximum and 150 m³/h at its quiet setting (below 45 dBA with the meter 6 ft away), so it reaches the 30 m² reference room at neither, while its lowest speed read 31.2 dBA from 25 inches. The auto-clean pre-filter, app control and switchable display help day to day; Sleep mode exists only in the app and the body is too large for most nightstands. The RM179 main filter carries a 6–8 month recommendation that depends on use. HJ10 suits a small space when a compact Dyson format matters. RTINGS measured limited particle output at its quieter setting; its protocol differs from HouseFresh. These recent additions stay visible even when their totals are withheld. Short ages use completed calendar months. [68] Dates are documented sale milestones or available-by bounds, not article update dates; maximum manufacturer specifications do not establish quiet bedroom output. These rows are not ordered by merit. [35, 37, 45, 51, 52, 58, 82]
Blue Signature, the already-ranked HJ10 and the newly ranked Vital Pet Pro (May 2026) also have documented sale milestones. Philips Pet 3000 is an additional model found during this source work, beyond the returned pack. A 2026 article date or a manufacturing-year suffix does not prove a 2026 product release. [35, 51, 52, 59, 61, 62]
Sprout and Eleva areas marked * use foreign manufacturer smoke specifications; local equivalence remains conditional. Philips Pet 3000 claims 400 m³/h under GB/T18801-2022 and has an identified FY3110/00 main filter, but no checked Malaysian replacement price. Its TBM offer was backordered; the Sprout public Malaysian variant was available. Eleva has a checked US sale and electrical specification, with Malaysian price and contract terms unresolved. Inventory contributes no points. [37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 53, 82]

These rivals remain unresolved rather than declared worse; the tested kit has more quiet airflow than Blue. [62, 63, 64, 81]

Buying notes & calculation details
Blue does not lead every measured particle result. The exact CleanAirKits configuration below delivers more at lower sound in the same reviewer's data; AirFanta and the reviewed IQAir configuration also meet the reference under their quieter tests. Their incomplete cost, identity, terms or sale evidence prevents a complete total here, not a finding that they are worse or an import penalty. [32, 33, 62, 63, 64, 81]
The Luggable test used two Filtrete20×25×1 MERV13 filters; AirFanta used standard filters at6.54V, and AtemX used its non-CF particle filters at speed4. Different filters, fan choices or adapters may change performance. Luggable source prose conflicts on fan count; use the specified tested kit rather than inventing a configuration. AtemX CF adds different media and cannot inherit the non-CF result. Core400S has documented US/EU differences and unresolved contradictory maximum figures; a generic model name cannot settle the local version. [62, 64, 65]

Dyson HushJet Cool Pure+, Hot+Cool Pure+ and Big+Quiet Cool Pure+ remain announcement/identity leads distinct from HJ10; exact sale and Malaysian model evidence is unfinished. Dyson BP04, PC1/PC2, additional Coway families, Philips smaller models, Xiaomi Compact/Elite, Core300S, Blue Signature Medium and exact Panasonic/Daikin/Samsung models remain wider leads. This is not a complete census, and a missing dossier is not proof of inferiority. Car/wearable devices, HVAC retrofits and ozone generators are outside scope. [26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 44, 61]
Area = CADR ÷(4.8×2.5), with cfm×1.69901079552 for m³/h. Our 30 m² reference needs 360 m³/h. Blue reaches it at the measured quieter setting; the other five complete candidates do not at their stated quieter settings. These are calculated reference areas, not new Malaysian measurements, medical guarantees or multi-room coverage. HouseFresh's PM1 estimates and RTINGS' protocol are different experiments: RTINGS takes the highest speed below 45 dBA with the meter 6 ft away, HouseFresh reads sound at 3 ft, so quiet outputs from the two labs are indicative and not matched. The HJ10 and the Pet Pro were both read under that RTINGS protocol, which its later footprint and HEPA-field updates did not change. [73, 87] Manufacturer smoke/dust/pollen and GB/T claims are kept separate. Quiet-test settings are not necessarily Sleep mode, and sound at 3 ft is not a guaranteed bedside level. For Blue only, a declared 1095-day illustration at 12 h/day and foreign-test 6.63W consumes 87.11820 kWh. At an illustrative RM0.50/kWh, RM2,299 unit plus two RM235 replacements totals RM2,812.56; five replacements total RM3,517.56. Neither figure is a guaranteed life schedule, an actual TNB tariff or a bill forecast; delivery, repairs, optional coverage and regional-performance uncertainty remain outside that illustration. Other products lack equally complete comparable power/interval inputs here, so no cost-winner claim follows from this one scenario. [34, 46, 49, 50, 94]
Blue listings were rechecked 2 October (the scored RM2,299 offer is the 30 September Visionary snapshot, and a cheaper RM2,068 pre-order exists that the value opinions did not use); the HJ10, Vital200 and Pet Pro offers were re-read 2 October and are unchanged. Philips3200 now shows Harvey Norman's RM1,599 (RM1,369 on 15 September), above the RM1,299–1,419 band its value opinions used, and the Xiaomi RM1,059 is now an in-stock Redmall quote. The Philips and Xiaomi replacement-filter quotes remain dated 15 September. Listed available/sold-out/backorder states have not been verified through checkout. Unit and consumable stock, sales channels, imports and delivery affect buying filters only. Prices, actual functionality, intrinsic filter compatibility and documented warranty terms remain legitimate merits. Owner country is unverified throughout and earns no points. [92, 9, 11, 93, 17, 34, 55, 57, 60, 67, 94, 89, 91]
HJ10's Malaysian headline room area uses a different air-change convention; use the calculated area above for this comparison. Detailed FAQ describes carbon capture while sales copy claims formaldehyde destruction. Permanent catalytic destruction is not established, and the reviewed White/Silver unit does not prove the MY Black/Teal gas-media result. [2, 4, 5, 94]
How the scores were formed
How the scores were formed
The active local rubric was reconciled before S04 research. Its scope covers Malaysian households choosing portable particle purifiers without a budget ceiling, with the reference room and smaller/larger-room explanations above. All seven weights remain unchanged; newer dates earn only the formula's recency component. External mechanical anchors were retained as external research rather than silently merged with historical qualitative opinions. [31, 47, 61, 74]
Criterion
Weight
Reason
Useful particle cleaning
31.5%
Useful maximum capacity and room needs lead; saturate once needs are amply met.
Cleaning at tolerable sound
18%
Reward usable output and tone at a setting people will keep running.
Filtration and evidence
13.5%
Supported capture and system integrity; percentages alone do not prove room cleaning.
Ownership and support
13.5%
Intrinsic maintenance, energy, recurring filter costs and contract terms.
Value in ringgit
9%
Supported benefits against dated Malaysian cost, independent of stock.
Everyday use
4.5%
Practical controls, sensors, handling and app dependence.
Release recency
10%
One ordinary-sale clock, documented available-by bounds where needed. [47, 58]
The weights sum to 100%. The original broad anchors remain poor 0–39, limited 40–59, competent 60–74, strong 75–89 and exceptional 90–100; these support editorial judgement rather than a validated numerical model. Cleaning judges useful maximum capacity and noise judges useful output/tone at tolerable sound, but the criteria are related and their statistical independence is not established. Filtration opinions do not prove an independently verified filter grade or gas capacity. The independent review noted that Blue's single measurement of 229 cfm at 40 dBA informs both its cleaning and its noise opinion (90.0 and 88.5 after the calibration). Removing both of Blue's leads over Philips would still leave it first (76.7 against 74.0), as would setting cleaning to 84 for the four units that exceed the reference at maximum (Blue 79.7, Philips 75.2). Weights were not changed after seeing results. [31, 47, 74, 69, 84]
In a full-slate calibration on 1 October a ClaudeOpus5 call and a Grok CLI call (version 1.0.30, model id not reported) re-assessed the same nine dossiers on one prompt with one added cross-lab note; only the Vital Pet Pro dossier carried new evidence, the independent RTINGS test, so every ranked total is fresh and the earlier totals are history. No GPT call ran. Per-criterion median combines only cells with two votes; with two voters it equals their mean. All seven cells are required for a complete total, and exact Decimal ties-to-even supplies one-decimal display rounding. No partial renormalized helper total is ranked; no result is applied to a catalog product score. Model identity, votes and omissions remain part of the research record. [74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 82]
These are guide-specific provisional model opinions, not reviewer laboratory scores. The previous published scores remain historical; changes combine a fresh judgement with new dates/cost evidence and do not measure a change in the machine itself. The full-slate calibration moved the five earlier totals by at most 1.3 points (Xiaomi) and kept their order. Philips value opinions considered the advertised-price band recorded on 15 September (RM1,299–1,419) while the glance table now shows Harvey Norman's RM1,599 of 2 October; they were not re-voted, a limitation that remains disclosed. Blue's value opinion likewise used RM2,299 although a RM2,068 pre-order exists. [74, 81, 94, 89]
Uncertainty, release clocks and cadence
Uncertainty, release clocks and cadence
All ages use1 October 2026. Recency = min(100,max(0,round(100×(1−age_days/(2×cycle_days)))) with 365.25 days/year and a three-year cycle. That cycle remains an explicitly provisional editorial assumption, not sourced universal category cadence or evidence of future product support. A sourcing attempt on 1 October read six dated launch announcements from four brands under a method fixed beforehand, but none gave its predecessor's own launch date, so no gap could be measured and the assumption stands. Available-by dates make age a lower bound and recency an upper bound; announcement dates and article refresh dates are not substituted for ordinary sale. [47, 58, 62, 83, 71]
Both complete individual-model orders and all three cadence scenarios agree here. These are opinion/sensitivity scenarios, not statistical confidence intervals; the agreement does not prove market superiority or eliminate missing evidence. Older true global sale dates can lower bound-based totals, and future measured evidence can change every component. The Xiaomi contemporaneous9 September 2021 China-sale report is earlier than the20October documented offer; the conservative later clock is qualified rather than treated as exact, and the earlier report would give recency 16 and a total of 69.1 without changing the order. Places 2 to 4 are 4.64 points apart, and almost all of that is the recency criterion (66, 38 and 18, with Philips's 66 an upper bound): with recency removed and the other weights rescaled Xiaomi, Philips and Vital 200S sit within 0.25 points (75.05, 74.88 and 74.80), so read their order as release age rather than a quality gap. [56, 58, 76, 77, 78, 83, 84, 88]
Philips Pet 3000 lacks a two-vote noise and ownership assessment; Eleva lacks noise, ownership, value and usability; Sprout lacks noise, filtration, ownership and usability. An unscored component is unknown, not zero or an inventory penalty. Their logical completion bounds are retained in the evidence record; no apparent precision in a partial total is promoted into a ranking. Even with every missing cell at 100 none of them could reach Blue's total (the highest possible is 80.2 against 81.5), so first place cannot change, though places 2 to 6 could. The Vital Pet Pro moved into the ranking once the independent RTINGS test supported its noise and usability. [82]
Editorial challenge and remaining limits
Editorial challenge and remaining limits
The required second-opinion challenge ran on 1 October 2026 as a read-only review of this guide before publication; two earlier attempts that produced no content review stay on file and are not counted, and the scoring pair is an assessment, not a challenge. The reviewer re-derived every total and judged the order robust to each voter alone, to all three cadence cycles and to its own saturation and value-swap tests, and judged the weights acceptable. Its verdict was not safe as-is, because the short page named a sold-out Blue offer without telling a reader what to do. This revision reports three Malaysian listings checked on 1 October, none with stock and one taking pre-orders from RM2,068, and adds ioniser ozone evidence. The reviewer also proposed pointing readers to an in-stock Blue Max 3450i; that premise failed on 1 October (HomePro out of stock, Harvey Norman's page gone), so no such claim is made. Its other points became disclosures or wording changes: places 2 and 3 differ mainly by release age, HJ10's carbon cost is a replacement interval and not an annual bill, a column reading unverified five times became one note, and a Xiaomi clock sensitivity was added. This is one reviewer's opinion, not a certification, and the changed copy was not re-reviewed. After the review a full-slate calibration added the Vital Pet Pro to the ranking and moved the five earlier totals by at most 1.3 points without changing their order; A second review of that calibrated ranking found its order and totals sound and asked for clearer wording on places 2 to 4, on the mixed 3 ft and 6 ft quiet tests and on the Pet Pro's quietness; those changes were made after it and not re-reviewed. [69, 89, 90, 70, 74, 81, 84, 87, 88] Both real Refer templates were rendered from the local payload and viewed at desktop and phone width on 1 October, with no page-level overflow. [86] The remaining market gaps, foreign-test transfer, conditional filter life, majority-owner uncertainty and unsourced category cadence constrain the claim to the fully assessed configurations. No candidate was tested here through a Malaysian haze season, and no long-term gas-removal or health-protection result is inferred. A stock refresh cannot change the order; verified performance, compatibility, cost or contract evidence can. [31, 30, 47, 61, 62, 64, 67, 74, 81, 94, 71]

Original research summary
How this was scored
Effective, practical room-air particle cleaning for a Malaysian home, with enough clean-air delivery for the room, tolerable everyday sound, dependable filtration and support, and defensible local ownership cost. A premium price or an impressive low-speed sound claim does not establish better purification.
Useful particle cleaning — 31.5% · Comparable particle CADR, room-size suitability and original chamber tests where available. Distinguish smoke/dust/pollen, regional test methods, maximum from quiet-mode output, and unfiltered fan airflow from CADR. Saturate credit once useful room needs are amply met; do not turn this into a largest-machine contest.
Cleaning at tolerable sound — 18% · Useful output at tolerable sound, tone and night controls. Prefer same-protocol tests. A minimum dB claim without associated CADR cannot establish superior overnight cleaning. Mark unsupported quantitative comparison unknown.
Filtration and evidence — 13.5% · Particle capture, bypass control, filter integrity and documented gas capability. Percent capture alone is not CADR; small carbon sheets are not established gas-removal capacity. Distinguish manufacturer claims from independently checked results.
Ownership and support — 13.5% · Intrinsic maintenance burden, filter compatibility and recurring cost, replacement schedule conditions, cleaning, energy and documented warranty contractual terms. Unit/filter inventory, number or presence of local sales channels, shipping/delivery access and ability to buy today contribute no points or penalties. Do not treat an "up to" filter life as a guaranteed interval or make lifecycle arithmetic with missing inputs.
Value at Malaysian price — 9% · Useful cleaning and ownership benefits against dated local purchase cost. Use dated advertised Malaysian prices with sale and list prices distinguished. Judge what the product delivers for that price, independent of stock, preorder, local sales-channel presence or delivery access. A missing price is missing cost evidence, not an availability penalty; never invent it.
Everyday use — 4.5% · Sensible automatic control, readable sensors, night display, handling, footprint and app dependence. Credit features for practical benefit, not their count.
Release recency — 10% · Scored by formula, not opinion: min(100, max(0, round(100 × (1 − age_days / 2191.5)))). One common check date, 2026-10-01, and earliest documented global ordinary order/sale or a labelled available-by bound. Three-year cycle remains an explicit editorial assumption pending sourced category cadence; two-/four-year sensitivity must be shown. No verifiable sale clock means this component is unknown.

MANUFACTURER FILTER BRIDGE: Blueair's official Japanese store identifies SP4i's single particle-plus-carbon main filter as part 113426, JAN 0689122031354. This matches the Malaysian seller's RM235 part-113426 offer. It closes the documented replacement-part identity gap; actual shipment authenticity, regional media revision and carbon mass remain unverified.
Attributed evidence with the stated date and limits; no purchase or physical Malaysian test was performed.
BLUE OWNERSHIP CONDITIONS: manufacturer support describes washable fabric prefilter care every 2–4 weeks and condition-dependent main-filter replacement. Japanese part-113426 guidance says up to 12 months at 24 hours/day, dependent on conditions; the MY seller recommends 6–12 months. Visionary's table spells the family 'Blue Signiture', lists three years, and requires registration within 14 days plus confirmation; consumable wear and specified misuse/transport costs are excluded. Seller offer extension prices are not evidence of every extension's contractual terms. Use RM235 per main filter with replacement scenarios, never guaranteed annual life or foreign warranty transfer.
Attributed evidence with the stated date and limits; no purchase or physical Malaysian test was performed.
ORDINARY SALE EVIDENCE: Blueair's issuer release, dated 17 June 2025 and reproduced by Business Wire's distributor, explicitly says Blue Signature is available that day at Blueair.com and Amazon from USD449.99. This is earlier and stronger ordinary-sale evidence than the 23 July review bound. Earliest documented sale found is 17 June 2025; an exhaustive earliest-worldwide audit is not claimed. Business Wire's own URL could not be fetched, so the issuer release was inspected on its syndicated destination.
Attributed evidence with the stated date and limits; no purchase or physical Malaysian test was performed.
ADDITIONAL 2025 CANDIDATE: Philips' dated 13 November 2025 issuer page names PureProtect Pet 3000 AC3360/11 and says it is available in retailers and Philips' online shop. This establishes an on-sale-by bound for that suffix, not the earliest global day. The November PDF's August filename is not a sale date. Pet-specific features include a washable prefilter, pet control lock, handling provisions and Air+ controls; hair/gas marketing tests do not establish quiet particle CADR.
Attributed evidence with the stated date and limits; no purchase or physical Malaysian test was performed.
PHILIPS PET MALAYSIA: official MY AC3360/11 page claims particle CADR 400 m³/h under GB/T18801-2022 and specifies FY3110/00 main filter, up to one year. TBM's exact AC3360/11 page advertises RM1139 (list RM1379), says backordered, and offers Add to cart. CADR/(2.5×4.8) = 33.333333 m² at the claimed maximum. Quiet output, exact local replacement cost and full warranty contract are unresolved; backorder contributes no merit penalty.
Attributed evidence with the stated date and limits; no purchase or physical Malaysian test was performed.
PET PRO CONSUMABLE COST: levoit.my's exact Vital Pet Pro replacement page identifies SKU LV-VTPETPROFILT, variant 47454395596971, RM179 MYR and InStock in public product JSON. Its description recommends replacement every 6–8 months. This is a main-filter offer and conditional recommendation, not a guaranteed interval or measured quiet-mode result.
Attributed evidence with the stated date and limits; no purchase or physical Malaysian test was performed.
UPDATED HJ10 OFFER: Dyson Malaysia Black/Teal now advertises RM1499 (list RM1699), says In stock, and offers Add to cart. Earlier RM1299/out-of-stock row remains historical. Particle/filter and formaldehyde-equivalence qualifications are retained; the stock change earns no points, while the changed purchase price is eligible for value reassessment.
Attributed evidence with the stated date and limits; no purchase or physical Malaysian test was performed.
XIAOMI GLOBAL CLOCK CORRECTION: a dated 20 October 2021 first-hand storefront comparison records a Hong Kong Xiaomi 4 Pro offer at HKD1899 and model AC-M15-SC, with links and captured maker specifications. This supplies an ordinary-offer-by bound earlier than the former March 2022 Malaysian announcement. Contemporary Chinese launch reporting gives 9 September 2021; that is corroborating reporting, not an independently archived maker sale record. Use 20 October 2021 as a conservative available-by clock (age at least this much; recency an upper bound), and show the earlier reported sale in research. Regional filter specifications differ; this does not transfer China/HK performance or media to MY.
Attributed evidence with the stated date and limits; no purchase or physical Malaysian test was performed.
REFRESHED VITAL200 OFFER: public MY Shopify variant 45940235534507 is the original-white-filter standard option at RM879 (list RM1079), available true, SKU LV-VT200S-GY+3PINPLUG, with a seller two-year warranty label. Bundle and pet-yellow variants are separate; the standard price is not their price. Existing seller-policy qualifications remain.
Attributed evidence with the stated date and limits; no purchase or physical Malaysian test was performed.

HJ10 SALE MILESTONE CHECK: Dyson's 4September2025 issuer page schedules US retail for30September2025. An independent purchaser later reports receiving the unit on30September after restricted existing-owner ordering; this corroborates ordinary sale/physical availability around the scheduled launch but is anonymous first-hand testimony, not an archived global checkout. Earliest global ordinary-order audit remains incomplete. Use the named US milestone and qualify it, with available-by sensitivity; no Reddit filtration, reliability or health opinions are adopted.
Attributed evidence with the stated date and limits; no purchase or physical Malaysian test was performed.
HJ10 CONSUMABLE UPDATE: official MY carbon975010-01 remains RM299, now out of stock, recommended every12months or sooner. Separately, particle975008-01 is RM399, out of stock, with conditional five-year-or-sooner guidance. RM698 is the sum of both replacement parts, not an annual expense or a complete lifetime bill. 'Formaldehyde' in the MY particle-part title does not establish a tested catalytic gas-destruction mechanism. Stock changes contribute no merit.
Attributed evidence with the stated date and limits; no purchase or physical Malaysian test was performed.
The core field is21 dossiers: four earlier benchmarks and17 additions, including PhilipsPet3000. Nine received consistent assessment; wider leads remain unresolved. External overall scores were not adopted, and stock never excludes a candidate.

REGIONAL PERFORMANCE WARNING: original Core400S review reports134cfm quiet for US,118cfm for EU; its maximum table249cfm conflicts with prose213/198cfm. Standard and SmokeRemover filters differ. The local model cannot inherit whichever result is highest. These conflicts are unresolved performance/identity evidence, not a stock exclusion.

Independent second-opinion review before publication
JudgementRecorded 2026-10-01
S05 INDEPENDENT REVIEW: the named second-opinion agent ran natively in Claude Code, read-only, against the sealed brief for the guide as it stood before publication (no model-pricing call; the earlier failed CLI attempts are not counted). Its reply is a content review. It re-derived all five totals, the recency formula and the five ages (all matched), judged the order robust to each voter alone, to all three cadence cycles and to its own cleaning-saturation and value-swap tests, and judged the weights acceptable apart from one datum credited to both cleaning and noise. Its verdict was not safe as-is: the short page named a Blue offer that was sold out without telling a reader what to do, and it proposed pointing readers to an in-stock Blue Max 3450i. It also asked for disclosure that places 2 and 3 differ mainly by release age, an ioniser-ozone caveat, a wording fix for HJ10 carbon cost, a decision on the owner-country glance column and a Xiaomi clock sensitivity. The author adopted or adapted each of these and rejected the in-stock 3450i premise after a 1 October recheck. One reviewer's opinion, not a certification; the revised copy was not re-reviewed.

Reviewer statements on ioniser ozone
ResearchRecorded 2026-10-01
IONISER AND OZONE, read 1 October 2026: the HouseFresh Blue Signature review says the HEPASilent ionisation can release ozone, reports an AHAM-certified 3 ppb for this unit (below the 5 ppb UL 2998 threshold for counting as zero ozone), and wishes the ioniser could be switched off; the page does not mention CARB. The HouseFresh Xiaomi 4 Pro review says its ioniser is on by default, can be disabled through the app, and generates small amounts of ozone; it gives no ozone measurement and no CARB statement. Both pages were machine-searched for ppb, ozone and CARB. These are attributed reviewer statements: no AHAM or CARB certificate was checked at source and no ozone was measured here.
Attributed reviewer statements; no AHAM or CARB certificate was checked at source and no ozone was measured here.
CATEGORY CADENCE SOURCING ATTEMPT, 1 October 2026: before any date was collected, the method was fixed as the median gap between consecutive dated generations of one maker's tier across six brands, rounded to the nearest half-year, replacing the three-year cycle only with at least eight dated gaps from at least four brands. Dated launch announcements read: Levoit Core 300S (11 August 2021, an upgrade to the original Core 300), Levoit Vital 200S (11 January 2023), Coway Airmega Mighty2 (19 March 2026, replacing the Mighty AP-1512HH), Blueair Blue Pure Auto models (24 September 2020), Dyson's Purifier Formaldehyde TP09/HP09 range (reported 22 March 2021 as quieter than the TP06 and TP04) and Dyson's US Purifier launch (reported 18 May 2021). None states its predecessor's own launch date, so no gap with two documented ends was obtained and the floor was not met. The three-year cycle therefore stays an editorial assumption; two- and four-year sensitivity keeps the same order. This is a statement about sourcing, not evidence that three years is right.
Dated launch announcements were read, but none gave a predecessor launch date, so the three-year cycle remains an editorial assumption.
RTINGS TEST OF VITAL PET PRO (independent lab, same protocol family as the HJ10 row): review published 17 July 2026 (early access 13 July), test bench updated 15 September 2026 to methodology v1.3.1, page read on 1 October 2026. Measured PM1.0 CADR at maximum 239 m³/h (141 cfm), RTINGS room 20.4 m²; low-noise CADR 150 m³/h (88 cfm) at fan speed 2, RTINGS room 12.8 m²; noise 31.2 dBA at the lowest speed and 55.1 dBA at the highest (read at 25 inches). The unit is the White Vital Pet Pro, bought mostly in the United States, not HEPA certified, with pelleted activated carbon, so Malaysian-unit equivalence is conditional as for other foreign tests. Usability points stated: Sleep mode only through the app, auto-clean pre-filter with a removable dust compartment, app Auto mode and remote control, display lights can be switched off, 5.2 kg and 32.9 x 20.4 x 45.3 cm (too large for most nightstands).
Attributed independent lab test of a foreign (US-bought) unit, read in a browser on the stated date; Malaysian-unit equivalence is conditional.
RTINGS LOW-NOISE PROTOCOL (Test Bench 1.2, updated 1 May 2026): every fan speed is run and the highest speed whose operating noise stays below 45 dBA is selected, with the decibel meter 3.5 ft high and 6 ft from the unit, and the particle filtration test is repeated at that speed. The separate Noise test reads from 25 inches, so its dBA values are higher and the two tests are not comparable. HouseFresh reads sound at 3 ft, so an RTINGS quiet CADR tolerates a louder speed and is not matched to the HouseFresh quiet CADRs in this guide; cross-lab quiet figures are indicative only.
Attributed methodology page; RTINGS and HouseFresh read sound at different distances, so their quiet figures are not matched.
S06 ASSESSMENT PROVENANCE: the same nine supplied-evidence dossiers, with only the Vital Pet Pro dossier updated by the independent RTINGS test, received the same seven-criterion rubric and prompt, plus one added cross-lab note, in separate Grok and ClaudeOpus5 processes. One Claude call through the Pareto panel route used search=false, 19127 input and 4323 output tokens, 0 searches and cost USD0.047065; one Grok CLI call ran 279 seconds and its dollar cost is not metered. No GPT call was made (both S04 startup attempts failed in the nested Mac sandbox). Two votes are required per criterion; the median is their mean for two, and missing criteria are not renormalized into an overall. These votes replace the S04 votes, which stay on file; no scores were applied to catalog products and no DB write occurred.

Blueair Blue Signature Large / SP4i — current guide assessment
JudgementRecorded 2026-10-01
S06 COMPLETE GUIDE ASSESSMENT: Blueair Blue Signature Large / SP4i, seven-criterion medians/votes: cleaning 90.0 (Claude 90.0, Grok 90.0); noise 88.5 (Claude 88.0, Grok 89.0); filtration 73.5 (Claude 70.0, Grok 77.0); ownership 74.5 (Claude 73.0, Grok 76.0); value 70.5 (Claude 68.0, Grok 73.0); usability 67.5 (Claude 64.0, Grok 71.0); recency 79.0 (Claude 79.0, Grok 79.0). Weighted exact total 81.5425, one-decimal ties-to-even 81.5/100. Both models assessed every component in a full-slate calibration; this is a new consistent opinion that replaces the S04 total, not a laboratory score or a catalog-score change.

Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Pro AC-M15-SC — current guide assessment
JudgementRecorded 2026-10-01
S06 COMPLETE GUIDE ASSESSMENT: Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Pro AC-M15-SC, seven-criterion medians/votes: cleaning 83.0 (Claude 82.0, Grok 84.0); noise 69.0 (Claude 64.0, Grok 74.0); filtration 74.0 (Claude 68.0, Grok 80.0); ownership 64.0 (Claude 60.0, Grok 68.0); value 78.5 (Claude 75.0, Grok 82.0); usability 73.0 (Claude 70.0, Grok 76.0); recency 18.0 (Claude 18.0, Grok 18.0). Weighted exact total 69.3450, one-decimal ties-to-even 69.3/100. Both models assessed every component in a full-slate calibration; this is a new consistent opinion that replaces the S04 total, not a laboratory score or a catalog-score change.
Derived calculation or provisional editorial assessment under the disclosed inputs and rubric; supporting research is retained on file.
S06 LOCAL ORDER: 1 Blueair Blue Signature Large / SP4i 81.5, 2 Philips PureProtect 3200 AC3220/10 74.0, 3 Levoit Vital 200S 71.1, 4 Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Pro AC-M15-SC 69.3, 5 Levoit Vital Pet Pro 64.0, 6 Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact HJ10 59.2. All six were freshly assessed in one full-slate calibration; the S04 totals are history and are not spliced into this order. Blue leads only these fully assessed configurations; the wider 21-dossier field and PC-fan rivals are incomplete, so this is not a universal market-best finding. Stock never changes points or ordering.
Derived calculation or provisional editorial assessment under the disclosed inputs and rubric; supporting research is retained on file.
S06 WITHHELD TOTALS: Philips Pet 3000 lacks two-vote noise/ownership (logical bounds 46.8175–78.3175); Eleva 300X lacks noise/ownership/value/usability (35.18–80.18); Sprout lacks noise/filtration/ownership/usability (23.1875–72.6875). The highest possible total of any withheld model, 80.18, is below Blue's 81.5425, so none can take first place, though places 2 to 6 could move. Bounds fill unsupported components anywhere 0–100, not a prediction or statistical interval. No partial renormalized helper total is adopted. Missing paired quiet tests cannot be replaced with minimum-noise marketing; no omission follows from stock. The Vital Pet Pro left this list after the independent RTINGS test supported its noise and usability.
Derived calculation or provisional editorial assessment under the disclosed inputs and rubric; supporting research is retained on file.
S06 CADENCE/OPINION SENSITIVITY: two/three/four-year-cycle displayed totals: Blueair Blue Signature Large / SP4i 80.4/81.5/82.0; Philips PureProtect 3200 AC3220/10 72.3/74.0/74.8; Levoit Vital 200S 68.0/71.1/72.6; Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Pro AC-M15-SC 67.5/69.3/71.3; Levoit Vital Pet Pro 63.7/64.0/64.2; Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact HJ10 58.4/59.2/59.6. Order is unchanged in all three. Both individual-model complete orders also agree; their total ranges are Blueair Blue Signature Large / SP4i 80.4–82.7; Philips PureProtect 3200 AC3220/10 72.3–75.7; Levoit Vital 200S 68.4–73.9; Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Pro AC-M15-SC 66.3–72.4; Levoit Vital Pet Pro 60.7–67.2; Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact HJ10 54.1–64.2. Three years is an editorial assumption, not a sourced category cadence or inferred support lifetime; a sourcing attempt did not reach its floor. Available-by clocks give upper-bound recency; older true dates can lower totals. These scenarios are not confidence intervals.
Derived calculation or provisional editorial assessment under the disclosed inputs and rubric; supporting research is retained on file.
S06 RECOMPUTED SENSITIVITIES on the calibrated totals: per-voter totals are Claude 80.4/72.3/68.4/66.3/60.7/54.1 and Grok 82.7/75.7/73.9/72.4/67.2/64.2 for Blue, Philips, Vital 200S, Xiaomi, Pet Pro and HJ10, and each voter alone gives the same order. Blue's margin over Philips is 7.5550. Philips minus Vital 200S is 2.8675, of which 2.800 is recency (66 against 38); with recency removed and the other weights rescaled they are 74.875 against 74.80. Removing both of Blue's cleaning and noise leads over Philips leaves Blue at 76.6825, still first; setting cleaning to 84 for the four units that exceed the 360 m³/h reference at maximum gives Blue 79.7, Philips 75.2, Vital 200S 72.7 and Xiaomi 69.7 with the order unchanged. Using the 9 September 2021 Xiaomi report instead of the 20 October 2021 offer gives recency 16 and a total of 69.1450, with no order change. The two voters differ by 13.0 points on the Pet Pro's noise (54 and 67).
Derived calculation or provisional editorial assessment under the disclosed inputs and rubric; supporting research is retained on file.
VITAL PET PRO CALCULATION from the RTINGS figures: 239 m³/h divided by (4.8 x 2.5) gives 19.9 m² at maximum, and 150 m³/h divided by 12 gives 12.5 m² at the low-noise setting; the 30 m² reference room needs 360 m³/h, which neither reaches. RTINGS's maximum is 5.0% below the maker's smoke figure of 148 cfm (251.5 m³/h). Under the same RTINGS protocol the HJ10 measured 113 m³/h, so the Pet Pro's quiet output is 33% higher than the HJ10's; it is below the Vital 200S figure of 217.5 m³/h, which is a different lab and distance.
Derived calculation or provisional editorial assessment under the disclosed inputs and rubric; supporting research is retained on file.
S06 VISUAL REVIEW, 1 October 2026: the calibrated six-entry guide was rendered through both real Refer route templates and viewed in the in-app browser. The short page at 1280 px and 375 px shows all six rows (81.5, 74, 71.1, 69.3, 64, 59.2) with the Vital Pet Pro at place 5, no page-level horizontal overflow, and four tables that scroll inside their own containers; the 'Other 2025-2026 models' table now lists three withheld models. In the research page every table has a real header row (the component and cadence tables carry six assessed rows each) and nothing overflows. This Refer template prints a score with no decimals when it is a whole number (74 and 64); the guide data is 74.0 and 64.0. Screenshots are kept with the review evidence.

RTINGS protocol continuity across bench versions
ResearchRecorded 2026-10-02
RTINGS PROTOCOL CONTINUITY, checked 2 October 2026: the Dyson HushJet page shows a review dated 5 May 2026, after Test Bench 1.2 (1 May 2026) introduced the low-noise test, with 113 m³/h at fan speed 2, and later updates to Test Bench 1.3 (18 June 2026) and 1.3.1 (16 July 2026). RTINGS's changelogs describe 1.3 as a scored footprint test and 1.3.1 as a HEPA-certified field, neither as a change to the particle or low-noise tests. The Vital Pet Pro page is reviewed 17 July 2026 on methodology 1.3.1. So both quiet figures come from the same low-noise protocol (highest speed below 45 dBA, meter 6 ft away), which supports the same-lab comparison; it stays unmatched to the HouseFresh figures read at 3 ft.
Attributed methodology and review pages read in a browser; the two RTINGS quiet figures share one protocol, unmatched to HouseFresh's 3 ft readings.
Second-review recomputation of the calibrated totals
CalculationRecorded 2026-10-02
S06 SECOND-REVIEW RECOMPUTATION: all six totals re-derive from the medians (81.5425, 73.9875, 71.1200, 69.3450, 63.9525, 59.1500). With recency removed and the other six weights rescaled, Xiaomi is 75.05, Philips 74.88 and Vital 200S 74.80 (Blue 81.82, Pet Pro 60.72, HJ10 56.50): places 2 to 4 are 0.25 points apart on merit against 4.64 points apart with recency, which is 66, 38 and 18 on a three-year cycle. The Pet Pro stays above the HJ10 and below Xiaomi if only Claude's noise vote (54) is used (62.78), if its value is cut to 50 (62.74), and under a two-year cycle (63.65 against Xiaomi's 67.54); its lead over the HJ10 is 3.80 points before the rescale and 4.22 after. Moving 0.06 of weight from cleaning to value gives Blue 80.37, Philips 73.36, Vital 200S 71.33 and Xiaomi 69.08, the same order.
Calculated from the saved votes; sensitivities are not statistical confidence intervals.
BLUE SIGNATURE SP4i MALAYSIAN LISTINGS, 2 October 2026, re-read from public pages and product data with no checkout: Visionary SKU 112932 still shows all three coverage variants at quantity 0 (RM2,299, RM2,529, RM2,644) and a Sold Out button. ESH2U lists the Dark Blue SP4i at RM2,345 (list RM2,999), unavailable. TBM lists it at RM2,068 (list RM2,999) as a pre-order with an ETA of end of November and a three-year general warranty, and its product record is open to purchase. Harvey Norman Malaysia's four air-purifier listing pages show no SP4i Large unit (they list the Blue Signature Small SP1i at RM1,199). Three Malaysian sellers were found and none had stock; the facts match the 1 October reading. The Blue value opinions used the RM2,299 offer and were not re-scored; a cheaper dated offer (RM2,068) exists. Stock and pre-order status earn or lose no points.
Public seller pages and product data re-read on the stated date; stock is seller-stated and no checkout was performed.
BLUE MAX 3450i LOCAL STATUS, 2 October 2026: the HomePro offer and the Harvey Norman quote recorded on 15 September are historical. HomePro's 3450i page still shows an OUT OF STOCK button and zero stock quantities, now with a page price of RM1,499.00 (it read RM1,849.00 on 1 October). Harvey Norman Malaysia's four air-purifier listing pages show no 3450i unit. No in-stock Malaysian 3450i listing was found, so no in-stock claim is made. The 3450i stays unranked for the original reasons: regional CADR and quiet-output evidence are unreconciled. Stock earns or loses no points.
Public seller pages read on the stated date; the earlier offers are historical and no checkout was performed.
